My music - known these days as slow orbit - is a monster spacefunk groove vehicle driven in the fast lane.

slow orbit is the current manifestation of what my sound has always been - rock and roll, for sure, but also a gumbo of funk, punk, jammy rock, spacey dub and improv - and it even has some twang around the edges. slow orbit is very groovy, loopy and dance-ey, but otherwise isn’t truly confined to one style.

i’ve been lucky enough to be in some very cool bands going way way back to the 90’s including new earth band, sinus fiction, orange, the bandersnatch, and now slow orbit. i’ve toured, performed at theaters and festivals, recorded film soundtracks, and i’m excited to BE FINISHED WITH THE eponymous slow orbit lp (recorded live in 2023-4 by engineer & mixer Logan miller).

in addition to performing sets of groovy songs both solo and with guest musicians, slow orbit - in conjunction with lucid immersive - also creates ethereal, atmospheric, ambient sounds that seamlessly accompany visuals and art …to create fully immersive experiences involving instruments, dj-ing and looping to create a unique atmosphere and sonic story each time.
