My music - known these days as slow orbit - is a wild spacefunk cruiser grooving in the fast lane.

slow orbit is the living body of what my sound has always been - a stew of groove, rock and roll, funk, jammy improv, and spacey dub styles. slow orbit is fun and dance-ey, but can be soothing and ambient too if the situation or moment demands- i can’t be confined to one style.

i’ve been lucky enough to be in some very cool bands from california to the midwest and back, including chicagoland’s new earth band, sinus fiction, and six-piece the bandersnatch, san francisco’s orange, and now slow orbit. i’ve toured, performed at theaters and festivals, and recorded soundtracks - and i’m excited to BE FINISHED WITH THE eponymous slow orbit lp (recorded live in 2023-4 by engineer & mixer Logan miller).

in addition to performing groovy songs both solo and with a live drummer, slow orbit - in conjunction with lucid immersive - also creates ethereal, atmospheric, ambient sounds that seamlessly accompany projected visuals, 3-D environments, lasers and art. slow orbit / lucid can create fully immersive experiences with original sounds - instruments, dj-ing and looping, creating a unique atmosphere and sonic story each time. Or we can create psychedelic, brilliant visuals to enhance any happening.
